Recommended preparation
| Priority | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Main style | Ranged |
| Survival | High-healing food, Prayer restoration and the relevant combat potion |
| Utility | Teleport out, movement-friendly inventory and enough free space for drops |
| Learning | Favour defence and consistency until the normal kill is repeatable |
Fight fundamentals
Follow the projectile cadence and switch protection prayers deliberately. Use the stun window to reset pressure, then move for the enrage orb path rather than standing still. Consistency in the final phase matters more than squeezing in a risky attack.
- Enter with Prayer and run energy restored. Keep the teleport-out option accessible.
- Identify the encounter's repeating attack pattern before optimising damage.
- Handle movement and protection-prayer mechanics first; only attack during safe windows.
- Use the final supply only when it buys enough time to finish the kill or safely escape.

Major rewards explained
- Vestige/icon reward: contributes to the boss's signature ring progression.
- Weapon component: a boss-specific component used in the wider Soulreaper axe or encounter reward progression where applicable.
- Virtus mask, robe top and robe legs: endgame magic armour pieces shared across the DT2 unique families in this base.
- Smoke quartz: the encounter's quartz reward.
- Awakener's orb: used with awakened-difficulty progression.
- Scarred tablet: encounter-associated teleport/access reward when present in the displayed table.
- Lil'viathan: the cosmetic pet reward listed by the encounter.
Normal and awakened difficulty
The source base contains separate awakened scripts where applicable. Awakened encounters demand substantially cleaner execution and are intended after normal mode is consistent. They also participate in the all-awakened completion check for the Ancient blood ornament kit. Do not spend awakened-entry resources while still learning the normal mechanics.
