Age of Embers ratesThe table on this page is generated from verified game data. These are this server's displayed rates, not values copied from another game wiki.

Recommended preparation

Priority Recommendation
Main style Magic
Survival High-healing food, Prayer restoration and the relevant combat potion
Utility Teleport out, movement-friendly inventory and enough free space for drops
Learning Favour defence and consistency until the normal kill is repeatable

Fight fundamentals

Manage sanity as a resource, enter the shadow realm only when the mechanic calls for it, and prioritise correct prayer over damage. During enrage, maintain a repeatable movement pattern while changing protection prayers.

  1. Enter with Prayer and run energy restored. Keep the teleport-out option accessible.
  2. Identify the encounter's repeating attack pattern before optimising damage.
  3. Handle movement and protection-prayer mechanics first; only attack during safe windows.
  4. Use the final supply only when it buys enough time to finish the kill or safely escape.

Major rewards explained

  • Vestige/icon reward: contributes to the boss's signature ring progression.
  • Weapon component: a boss-specific component used in the wider Soulreaper axe or encounter reward progression where applicable.
  • Virtus mask, robe top and robe legs: endgame magic armour pieces shared across the DT2 unique families in this base.
  • Shadow quartz: the encounter's quartz reward.
  • Awakener's orb: used with awakened-difficulty progression.
  • Sirenic tablet: encounter-associated teleport/access reward when present in the displayed table.
  • Wisp: the cosmetic pet reward listed by the encounter.

Normal and awakened difficulty

The source base contains separate awakened scripts where applicable. Awakened encounters demand substantially cleaner execution and are intended after normal mode is consistent. They also participate in the all-awakened completion check for the Ancient blood ornament kit. Do not spend awakened-entry resources while still learning the normal mechanics.
